Ah Spring! It’s a time to clear out old things to make way for the new. A time of fresh starts and a great opportunity to check in with yourself and see if you are on track to meet the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year.
If you are feeling stuck, blocked, stalled or lack momentum, it’s time to step back and examine why.
Often when this comes up, it’s a sign that you need to “deal and heal”. This means, asking yourself if there’s something that you’ve been sweeping under the carpet. Is there an emotion like guilt, anger or resentment that you haven’t dealt with, or healed? If so, this is your cue to get to work on that.
Most people avoid emotional healing work because, let’s face it, it’s hard! We have to bring up old, painful emotions and stare at them in the face in order to heal them. But here’s why this work is so important.
Emotions carry vibrations. Low vibration emotions like anger, sadness, resentment, fear, worry, depression etc. create huge blocks in our spiritual and earthly momentum and progress. So you need to clear them out to make way for the universe to bring you new and BETTER things!
Think of your emotional baggage like a dandelion. Nobody likes to look at it and quite frankly, it’s an annoyance. So what do we do? We snap it off at the surface and think, “There! It’s gone. I don’t have to look at it anymore.” But guess what? That darn ol’ dandelion is going to grow back again. And no matter how many times you snap it off, it just keeps growing back until….you dig it up at the root.
When you don’t tackle your emotional schtuff, it keeps re-surfacing over and over and over. So commit to purposefully digging up your roots and watch those blocks and barriers disappear in a puff of dandelion fluff.
